I’m proud to be your local Member of Parliament who is focused on delivering for our community.
I’m a Dad, a former teacher, and a local from Hallett Cove representing our community in Parliament.
I have committed my professional life to creating a sense of community through my roles as a local teacher, School Leader at Sacred Heart College, and now as the State Member Parliament for the electorate of Black.
My roles at Sacred Heart College enabled me to focus on delivering what is best for my students’ wellbeing so they can focus on learning. That’s why I made Sacred Heart College as one of the first to switch phones off while school is on - a move we now see being rolled out in all public schools along with a nation leading ban on social media.
Now as the Member for Black, I am continuing this work to deliver change beyond the school gate. I want all kids and future leaders to feel part of a community that gets things done.
I know we can achieve more for our community by working with our Premier Peter Malinauskas.
In 2022 I worked with Peter Malinauskas and made the commitment that a Labor Government would keep our local community more connected by redeveloping the Cove Sports and Community Club, the Marino Community Hall and finally building the Majors Road connector.
Premier Peter Malinauskas kept his promise. Seeing these changes that we fought for together become a reality, gave me the drive to be our local voice in Parliament.
As your local Member of Parliament, I will advocate for our community, and ensure the commitments made during the last election are delivered.
One of those commitments is the new interchange at Majors Road, once completed the people of Hallett Cove, Sheidow Park, Trott Park and surrounding areas will have direct access to the North/South Corridor and 78km of non-stop, traffic light-free motorway between Gawler and Old Noarlunga, bypassing 21 sets of traffic lights.
